NOTE : Kalsubai trek is one of the most crowded and most popular trek in Maharashtra. This being highest peak pulls lot of people following a bucket list. Its a trek of 8 hours i.e. 5 hour climbing up and 3 hour to come down. Several patches have bottle neck traffic jam due to hundreds of people queued up to pass through. Tickets for this trek generraly gets sold out 5-8 days in advance. So you should book well in advance.

Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak of Maharashtra in the Sahyadri mountain ranges of Ahemadnagar district. At the summit is a small temple of the Kalsubai Godess, the local deity, hardly big enough to seat three people at one time. This peak stands true to its quality of being the highest peak of the state and commands a mesmerizing view of the mountains surrounding it.

To the north of the mountain are various forts and scalable mountains such as Harihargad, Brahmagriri, the intimidating AMK range and many more such. To the south west is the famous needle hole upon Ratangad and to the south are Harishchandragad and Ghanchakkar can be seen.

ITINERARY:

Meeting point:

Meet us at Swami Narayan Temple at Dadar by 11:40 pm (Saturday night)

Start journey by Private Bus at 12:05 am

Pickup points:

  • Sion by around 12:25 am
  • Teen Hath Naka ,Thane by around 1:10 am

We will halt at "Baba Da Dhaba" where participants can freshen up.

04.15 am: Head out from Baba Da Dhaba and proceed towards the base village.

05.10 am: Reach Base Village, Rest till Dawn

05.30 am: Breakfast and tea. (washroom facility available at base village)

06:00 am: Start trekking after short introduction round

10.00 am: Reach Kalsubai Top, Explore the summit and witness some of the other peaks from top

11.00 am: Start descending

01.30 pm: Reach base village

02:00 pm: Lunch at Dhaba near base village

03.30 pm: Start return journey

Tentatively we will reach Mumbai around 8 pm.

Things to carry :

  • Identity proof (compulsory)
  • Good trekking shoes and extra pair of floaters
  • Extra pair of clothes
  • Water (minimum 2 ltrs) Compulsory
  • Some ready to eat food like biscuits, plum cake etc.
  • Medicines (if you need any), Glucon D / Electrol / Enerzyl Powder (We will have a basic first aid kit with us)
  • Rain gear windcheater / raincoat / poncho
  • Haversack to put all your things

You do not carry:

  • Jholas / sling bag.
  • Please avoid wearing Jewelry.
  • Alcohol or any narcotic substance.
  • Avoid umbrella.

Caution:

  • Wear full clothes.
  • Avoid wearing jewelry.
  • Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  • It is going to rain. Please pack your belongings accordingly. Cover your bags with rain cover.
  • Carry floaters to wear as a backup or after the trek. (optional)

Points to Note and FAQ's

Q: I have booked/paid for the event, is my booking confirmed ?

Ans. No ! , your booking can become invalid if you do not submit the "Most Important Details" required for emergency situations. For any Trek/Adventure event the organizers need to have your details atleast 24 hours prior to the event. We do not allow anyone to campsite until we have complete and authentic details of the person. This info is crucial in case of emergency, and is a mandatory KYC parameter. The link for the "personal details form" will be sent along the ticket confirmation email. Submitting incomplete/incorrect/fake details in the form will make your booking invalid and no refund will be provided in such case.

Q. We are coming by our own vehicle for the event, where should we reach ?

Ans. You need to reach "Baba Da Dhaba" at scheduled meeting time, the "Dhaba" is at 10 min driving distance from kasara station. This is where we will halt for lunch, from here we you can follow our vehicles. After this point cellphone network coverage is bad and our team wont be contactable. You will be given exact coordinated after you finish booking formalities.

Q. How do we get in touch after reaching meeting point ?

Ans. We will be creating a whatsapp group one day prior of the event for coordination where you will be provided all the necessary information regarding contact person, exact point to meet etc..

Q. What is provided in meals ?

Ans. Meal will consist of veg food. (Rice, Roti, Daal, and two seasonal veg)

Q. How many people will be at the coming for this trek ?

Ans. Depends on number of people booking the event. Generally the batch size is approximately 25 participants. Actual count depends on bookings and cancellation done till last min. Kalsubai is one of the most popular location and thousands of other people will be there too.

Q. Is it safe for solo participants?

Ans. Yes, mostly 30% of participants come up solo and blend in.

Q. Is it safe for girls?

Ans. Mischief Treks has a track record of making our trekking and camping events extremely safe for girls. Normally 60 – 75 % of our participants are females.

Q. How long is the trek ?

Ans. Normally it takes five hours to ascend and five hours to descend.

Q. Why is submitting emergency contact details and KYC information mandatory?

Ans. Its a standard protocol and also a guideline by Govt of India. We are accountable for every "Human-Body" present at our campsite or trek is our responsibility and in case of any unfortunate event we will be asked by authorities to provide all relevant information about you. In order to comply with the authorities we have to take authentic information from you. Fake/Incomplete information or non-submission of the details will make your ticket (paid amount) invalid and no refund will be provided in such case. You will not be allowed to participate in the event.

Q. Can we pay in cash or installment or on spot ?

Ans. Sorry we do not accept cash payments. For installment scheme you will have to pay one-time processing fee of Rs.500 per person. On spot payment not possible because the booking process closed prior to the event date and we have limited tickets available.

Q. What is the last date of booking ?

Ans. Bookings close once tickets are sold out. Ideally you need to book atleast 2-3 days in advance.





Cancellation Policy

90% will be refunded if cancelled 15 days in advance.

75% will be refunded if cancelled 10 days in advance.

50% will be refunded if cancelled 05 days in advance.

25% will be refunded if cancelled 03 days in advance.

0% refund if cancelled within 72 hours of the event date and time
