Detailed itinerary

(If you are based in Mumbai, you can sync your travel plan with rest of the group members. We will be creating a whatsapp group for coordination purpose)

Day 0: Batch-1: 6th Mar, Batch-2: 17th Apr
Meeting Point : Meet at Delhi, RK Ashram metro station at 5.00 pm . Travel by AC Bus to Kasol.

Day 1: Batch-1: 7th Mar, Batch-2: 18th Apr
Reach Kasol, Check in at the hotel/homestay freshen up and get ready to experience Israeli cuisine and hippy-culture. Night photography besides the river and its masti-time!

Day 2: Batch-1: 8th Mar, Batch-2: 19th Apr
Today we will travel by cab and explore Manikaran, Kalga, and start Kheerganga trek. Snow Games with the group, and camp near parvati river.

Day 3: Batch-1: 9th Mar, Batch-2: 20th Apr
Continue trek to Kheerganga top and explore hot water stream at the top. We get to swim in the hot water pond. Spend rest of the day with the mesmerising views. Today we will be camping at Kheerganga.

Day 4: Batch-1: 10th Mar, Batch-2: 21st Apr
After breakfast we will start descending to Tosh village and stay at a village homestay in Tosh.

Day 5: Batch-1: 11th Mar, Batch-2: 22nd Apr
Today we will travel from tosh to Malana and explore till late noon and stay at chalal village riverside camping location. Its time to celebrate the successful trek with music and dance besides the river.

Day 6: Batch-1: 12th Mar, Batch-2: 23rd Apr
Checkout from campsite and lets go shopping and explore local market. Post lunch we will move to Bhuntar and opt for adventure activities like paragliding, river rafting etc. Around 5 pm we will proceed to catch bus for return journey to Delhi.

Day 7: Batch-1: 13th Mar, Batch-2: 24th Apr
Reach Delhi and proceed to your city.

Note : You can chose to take part in Paragliding and River Rafting if weather conditions permit. The charges for the same will be at actual costing per person payable upfront before the activity.

Cancellation Policy

90% will be refunded if cancelled 90 days in advance.

75% will be refunded if cancelled 75 days in advance.

50% will be refunded if cancelled 60 days in advance.

25% will be refunded if cancelled 30 days in advance.

0% refund if cancelled 0-to-29 days from date of trek.

Covid-19 Safety

  • Every member of the group (participants/leaders/ clients & staff) has to wear protective mask/face shield while talking to each other.

  • The cabs (if hired) will be completely sanitized before picking up participants.

  • Stay arrangements will be made with proper sanitization.

  • Every participant is instructed to keep safe distance from other participants right from start till the end of the event.

  • Every participant has to carry a sanitizer spray bottle while coming for the event and use it regularly.

  • Carry additional unused mask as backup.

  • It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not traveled in a containment zone and have not come in contact with any person who was tested positive in last 14 days.

  • Ascertain whether any participant has any symptoms of Influenza like illness (ILI) like fever, dry cough, weakness, severe body ache etc. at the time of beginning of activity. If it is so then he/she should be asked not to participate activity and be evacuated on medical grounds and should be asked to report to local health authority with his own expenses.

  • Strictly avoid eating gutkha, pan masala, cigarette or sniffing which induces spitting, coughing or sneezing.

  • Avoid touching external surfaces and touching your face when in outdoors.

  • The food procured during the entire event will be form screened sources.

  • If the location of your adventure activity is crowded then be prepared to leave or wait for the crowd to disperse/for your turn.

  • It is mandatory that a participant informs the organizers if he tests positive for Covid within 14 days of returning from adventure activity. It will help the organizers to inform and alert all other persons in the group, so that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard. Here it is absolutely essential that the participant observes transparency and informs the organizers/group leaders about his Covid test results.

FAQs For Backpacking Trips / Terms

Q. What’s the age range of the Group trip
– We have travelers from all the groups of age. Since this is an offbeat backpacking travelling community, The majority of travelers are between the age group of 20-40 belonging from various professional sectors.

Q. I am travelling solo for the first time . how can i expect my experience to be
– Most of our travelers here are solo . No one has a prior acquaintance with anybody other than on the community. It is going to be like the first day of school or college or office, excitement of meeting new people with the thrill of the trip. Do not expect anything less than an adventure. Absolutely, that’s the beauty of small group travel. You will make friends quickly and your Tour lead will become a good source of support to you along the way too!

Q. Are single traveler mainly male or female
Most of our trips split pretty evenly down gender lines. We average roughly 70:30 female-to-males, so you'll never feel outnumbered.

Q. Is it safe for girls/women?
Apart from standard risks involved in any outdoor activity, Mischief Treks has a track record of making our events extremely safe for females and especially males. Normally 60 – 75 % of our participants are females.

Q. What if i want room to myself
The fun of travelling in groups is sharing of rooms. We recommend that you share the room with fellow travelers for better bonding and understanding. Somehow, if you wish to have a separate room anyway, that can be possible for additional amount depending upon the accommodation.

Q. Does the cancellation policy/rescheduling policy apply to me if I book on event day or last day?
Ans: Yes, the policy is applicable irrespective of the booking date. The cancellation / reschedule policy is applicable to everyone with immediate effect from the date and time of booking. The refunds/rescheduling requests will be processed based on the date and time of cancellation/reschedule request sent to us and the date and time of booking the event are irrelevant.

Q. What is the basis of cancellation/reschedule policy in case of medical or personal emergency of participant or organizing team?
Ans: The cancellation policy is based on fairness towards the participant and the organizing team. In case of medical/personal emergency, the loss arising out of cancellation/reschedule will be borne by the respective person. i.e. if the organizing team faces an emergency situation and the event gets canceled, the participant will not have to suffer financial loss. Similarly, if the participant faces an emergency situation, the organizing team will not have to suffer financial loss. The cancellation policy is designed with a completely unbiased approach towards the participant and organizing team and is aimed at fairness towards both.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy.

  • 90% will be refunded if cancelled 30 days (720+ hrs) in advance.

  • 75% will be refunded if cancelled 20 days (480+ hrs) in advance.

  • 50% will be refunded if cancelled 10 days (240+ hrs) in advance.

  • 0% refund if cancelled in less than 10 days (240 hours) of the event date and time.

  • 0% refund if the participant drops out, misses bus pickup, does not reach the meeting point on scheduled date and time.

If the event itself gets cancelled, you will be given the option to switch to any other event or any other date, Or you can opt for 100% refund.
The 100% refund is applicable after deduction of third party cancellation charges i.e. train and stay. The cancellation charges of train tickets and stay need to be paid by the participant. For this event the stay cancellation charges are 500/- and train cancellation charges will be as applicable as per Indian Railways rules. If you need to reschedule your booking to any other date, it can be done free of cost if the rescheduling request is sent 720 hours prior to trek. From 00 hrs - 720 hours prior to trek date and time, free rescheduling is not permitted. It will be counted as cancellation done in less than 720hours of event date and time. It's a humble request, please do not give medical reasons, crib, argue or try to blackmail us if you drop out or cancel/reschedule the trek in last 10 days. This mutually agreed cancellation policy is applicable to you and us as well. Date and time of cancellation request sent to us will be considered of calculation of applicable slab given above. The date and time of booking the event are not relevant for calculating the number of days and hours remaining between the event date and cancellation request.

Himachal Tour Disclaimer

It is most essential to be fit and fine before heading for an event. While planning your trip, it is preferable to have a medical fitness check up done. If suffering from any kind of allergy or ailment, do carry proper prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heatstroke, severe headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia. Participants suffering from chronic conditions like asthma, bronchitis, blood pressure, migraine, diabetes etc should seek their physicians advice before coming. Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Please help us to conserve and preserve our heritage . The participants who wish to reach the event starting point in their own vehicle have to reach the meeting point at given time, beyond the said time and spot the organizer may go out of network range and won’t be able to assist. In such situation the organizer shall not be liable for any inconvenience what-so-ever and the participants will be considered as dropouts against which no refund will be made. The organizer reserves the right to make necessary change in itinerary at any time before or during the event based on situation at hand. Trek leaders decision will be final and binding, no arguments will be entertained. During the event if any participant or group does not follow safety instructions and indulges in acts that lead to physical harm, or gets lost in the forest / mountain the organizers will not be held liable for it. We do not allow anyone to campsite until we have complete and authentic details of the person. This info is crucial in case of emergency, and is a mandatory KYC parameter. Submitting incomplete/incorrect/fake details in the form will make your booking invalid and no refund will be provided in such case. No refund will be made in case a person misses the train/bus mentioned in the itinerary. All participants are deemed to be physically fit for the event. In case a participant decides to dropout during the event he/she has to bear the extra cost of arranging his/her return, this cost will be charged at-actual-basis. If the event gets cancelled before commencement due to natural calamities, rains, landslide, snowfall, avalanche, Covid-19 or any external influencers, only 50% of the trek charges will be refunded. For Eg. if tour charge is 1000 and you have paid 250/- as partial booking amount then the person who has paid 100/- will have to suffer a loss of 50% i.e 500/- where as the person who has paid only 250/- will suffer the loss of barely 250/- paid as nominal booking amount towards initial expenses. Refunds will be calculated on full payment of the tour charges, partial payment or nominal payment will not be considered for refunds. Once the event has started and if it get cancelled due to bad natural conditions during the course of event no refund will be made. Delays due to traffic conditions, weather, participants endurance, vehicle breakdown etc. are not in our hands and participants need to bare with the situation as a team. Stay options mentioned in the itinerary are subject to natural conditions i.e. tents can’t be pitched if rains and/or rain storm is being predicted. In such cases an attempt will be made to provide shelter for the night. Food during the trekking and camping events is sourced locally from villages and we put in our best efforts to provide the best, participants should acknowledge the fact that remote village people are not trained for catering services and the expectations should be accommodating. Mischief Treks organises events at forts, lakes, villages, hills and mountains that are accessible to other organisers too. We do not own any of the locations mentioned. We do not have access to client booking database of other organisers and we cannot comment of number of people visiting the location on a given date. MischiefTreks has a reputation of providing memorable experience for trekkers and adventure lovers, our events are not designed for tourists or fussy people. Trekking and Camping belong to adventure sports industry where the participants are part of a "team" here there are no waiters, caterers, guests, clients. We all will be part of team and your participation as a team member is appreciated. Having the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork is basic requirement for signing up our events. Pictures and videos captured by our staff/members during the event are property of mischief treks and we reserve rights to publish the images as per our discretion.
