The waterfall lies on the Western ghats of Maharashtra, It is close to Tamhini Ghat - a mountain passage in the crest of the Sahyadri ranges in Maharashtra. The trail to the forest is full of lush jungles, gushing rivers, tiny hamlets, and mountain valleys. The terrain gets rocky and muddy in many places.
